Civil partnerships

St. George Hotel are proud to be approved to hold Civil Partnership ceremonies and like our weddings aim to give the couple the day they really want. If your looking for a small intermit day with your close family and friends or a full on party for every one you know we can help you get your ideal day just right.

Renewal of Vows:

For couples already married who wish to renew their vows. Ideal for a couple on their anniversary or for couples who married abroad and wish to celebrate with families and friends

Baby Naming Ceremonies:

An Alternative to a Christening Ceremony to celebrate the naming of a child. Please note that is not available on Saturdays

FAQs

We have put together this list of frequently asked questions to help you along, but should you require any further assistance one of our management team would be delighted to help you.

1. Which rooms can I hold my ceremonies in, and how many guests can I have?
   
   Our approved rooms are the Banqueting Hall and the Stirling room; these can be used 7 days a week. The maximum number for the ceremonies is 65 seated and 90 for the meal afterwards. The total number of guests must not exceed 120.
   
   If you wish to use Stanley House for your reception after your civil ceremony you may do so any day except SATURDAY. The ceremonies would be held in the Banqueting/Stirling rooms and the maximum number for the ceremonies would be 120. The reception will then be held downstairs where the total number of guests must not exceed 300.
   
   
   
2. How do I book the ceremonies?
   
   When you have chosen your date and booked the room we will contact the registrar and book the date and time you require, we will then be give you a copy of the form with a booking reference on. You should then contact the registrar and quote this number.
   
   
   
3. How much will it cost?
   
   To hold the ceremonies we charge an admin fee, this differs as to the day you require, we offer free hall hire subject to conditions.
   
   You will have to pay the registrar fees direct to them. They are the same for all approved premises and are subject to change.
   
   
4. How will the room be set out?
   
   The room will be set out how ever you like, we will help you to achieve what you are looking for. We like to let you choose your own flowers and decorations, and will happily recommend people to help you.
   
   
5. Can i just have a Service?
   Yes, if you require just a service or ceremony we can do this Monday to Thursday.
